Song Description
This demo is in the R&B Soul/Retro Northern Soul vibe, yet hopefully still sounding current.
Influenced by new UK artists like MT Jones "I Don't Understand", and Brooke Combe "Tears Don't Lie".
Bringing that sound back. (Check them out.).

Lyrics
"Want To Know Why"
Music/Lyrics by JK Wilson
Verse
A year passes by so quickly
Never knew I'd miss you so bad
Seems like just yesterday I held you close
That feeling's fading and becoming the past
I'm at a small cafe in the city
Having drinks with a group of friends
Surrounded by people laughing
Still feel so alone inside again
Chorus
Time goes by
And I want to know why
Why you left me and moved on
Wish I could see you once more and try
To make it right
And have you back into this life I now know
I want to know why
Verse
Nostalgic feelings grow with each drink from my glass
Wondering why we didn't last
Then I remind myself, you can't stay trapped
In a time that's already passed
Still miss what we had when things were good
Think you'd love this new life I've built
Just wish I'd made the changes sooner
So you'd have been here to see the results
Chorus
Time goes by
And I want to know why
Why you left me and moved on
Wish I could see you once more and try
To make it right
And have you back into this life I now know
I want to know why
Instrumental Break
Chorus
Time goes by
And I want to know why
Why you left me and moved on
Wish I could see you once more and try
To make it all right
And have you back into this life I now know
Have you back into this life I now know
Have you back into this life I now know
I want to know why
