Song Description

Deals with a situation that lots of us encounter where we have absolutely no control over the outcome. We all like to be in control of our lives but in this case the control was taken away from the husband and he couldn't do anything about it.

Story Behind the Song

Based on a friend of mine who had 4 children to his wife of over 17 years. He found out that she had been seeing an ex boyfriend for all of that time since before they were married. Needless to say he was absolutely devastated.

I like the lyric and the lift in the chorus. You no longer care is a good line. Good luck to you.

Nice instrumentation and arrangement. The song has a nice feel too it, which made it easy to listen to. It's got a Country feel, more like "old Country" which is refreshing to listen to, compared to a lot of what is playing in the Country market these days. I like the writing, vocals, instrumentation, etc. It's a good sounding song.

Lyrics

You No Longer Love Me.

Every time you tell me that you're gonna see,
Someone you used to know before you and me.
I think, where did I go wrong, it's still a mystery.
Now I'm in the way, I'm just history.
-------------------------------------
I know you feel that you have to leave.
Try to give me something that I can believe.
Everything I need, I see in your face.
Where do I go now, how do I find my place?
-------------------------------------
Chorus
When you say to me you no longer love me.
He's come back in to your heart & given you a whole new start.
How can it be you no longer need me?
After all the children, the moments, the years together.
How can you say you no longer care?
-------------------------------------

Soon I'll have to live in a different way.
To the one I've come to know where I feel so safe.
Let me try to tell you all the things you're gonna lose.
Listen to my heart then you're free to choose.
-------------------------------------
Chorus
Oh please don't say to me you no longer love me.
He's come back in to your heart & given you a whole new start.
Oh how can it be you no longer want me?
After all the children, the moments, the years together.
How can you say you no longer care.

Repeat Chorus

Now you say to me you no longer love me.
He's come back in to your heart & given you a whole new start.
Oh now how can it be you no longer want me?
After all the children, the moments, the years together.
How can you say you no longer care?
