Try

Story Behind The Song

I wrote this song for two friends who were not seeing eye-to-eye and hadn't for quite some time...yet it was obvious that they loved each other very, very much. It's always worth trying.

Song Description

A song about admitting mistakes, that we've all been hurt and done the hurting. This song is an outstretched hand to that person you still love, or at least remember loving deeply, and offering to try, if only one more time, because it is truly worth it.

Lyrics

Try
Words and Music by James Horning

I?d, I?d like to try
I?d like to try again, remember when we were one
Before we did become who we?ve become
Let?s renew, a different hue change the blue to rose and gentle plum.

Oh the pain, I?ve felt the pain
Raw and deep and bittersweet to call your name
To call your name I?ve felt the pain

But I?ve hurt you too and
I may not understand that you?re isolated and without a friend
But that?s not true, I?m here for you
Oh let me be here for you

bridge
The past behind us now, let?s act like we?ve just begun
I?m not asking for too much baby, just your arms embracing love
And we?ll fly?

I?d, I?d like to try
I?d like to try again, remember when we were one
Before we did become who we?ve become
Let?s renew, a different hue and change the blue to rose and gentle plum?

Ohhhhhh?.
I?d like to try?.again, oh it?s not the end
Ohhhhhh?.
