Song Description

Americans need to pull together and be grateful for all the freedoms we have. Many of our relatives died to gain this freedom - and many are dying today to preserve it.

Story Behind the Song

This song came to me while driving home from work. We have such a great country with so many freedoms that we take for granted. I wanted to capture the essence of ALL of our inheritance in the music as well as the words.

Lyrics

(Spoken)
Our Father's fathers may have been born in many different countries,
But their spirits longed to be free.
So they all came to America and fought for the freedom we now all enjoy.
Many people died for that freedom; and once gotten we became self-centered
And in time - that spirit went to sleep.
But now - in the new millennium, strangers have called it to wake.
My fellow Americans - listen; Listen to your father?s spirit and
Remember how precious this gift we have.

Can you feel the sense of spirit ? moving across our land?
That reborn American spirit ? built with our father?s hands.
Look what we have done - in such a very short time
Others want to doom it - our freedom?s on the line.
We all need each other - Each sister, mom, dad and brother;
To join hearts minds and spirit - And embrace one another.

Feel the spirit - the American way
Together we can do it - overcome any wave.
You gotta feel the spirit - it's deep down in your bones
Our special American Spirit - it's borne in every home.

Freedom rings in all our hearts - the way humans were meant to be
I'm so grateful for America - I'm glad that I am free.
Free to be whatever I want - to travel from sea-to-sea;
Free to live my own life - and be the BEST that I can be.
My father's spirit lives on in me - I carry it day-to-day
I can take it way beyond the sky - That's the way of the U-S-A

Feel the spirit - the American way
Together we can do it - overcome any wave.
You gotta feel the spirit - it's deep down in your bones
Our special American Spirit - it's borne in every home.
