You are beautiful

Story Behind The Song

Last Spring I was in my yard in northern Floirda. The confederate jasmine were blooming, and I saw my neighbor strolling her new baby with a wonderful smile. I thought - she is beautiful. And then I tried to think of the quintessential other examples of beauty, and these two came to the top of the list - The earth and my gorgeous wife. So these concepts of beauty became the song.

Song Description

A young mother with her baby, Everyone's Mother - Mother Earth - and the sensual loveliness of the feminine form; what do they have in common? They are beautiful. They are beautiful. This song, an homage to the Beatles at the height of psychedelica, celebrates beauty on all three of these levels. It is the songwriter's tribute to beauty, in its many forms. The songwriter also thinks this song might have commercial potential. As an example, imagine a commercial (TV, internet) for a lady's beauty product with this music behind it.

Lyrics

Jasmine fills the morning air
The soft green colors everywhere
Mother smiling, floating by
She strolls the apple of her eye
Oh You! You are beautiful
You are beautiful

In a blinding snow on Mt. Rainier
Or the Salton Sea when the birds appear
She's shimmering blue from outer space
She's everywhere and every place!
Oh You! You are beautiful
You are beautiful

Later on a white-sand beach
The mermaids singing each to each
The sky, the sea pastels in blue
Outline the loveliness of you
Oh You! You are beautiful
You are beautiful
