Story Behind The Song

"Hex Yeah" is about the little superstitions we follow even when we're doing something we know we probably shouldn't. The relationship itself becomes another ritual: the same person, the same bad decision and the same promise that this will be the last time. Lucky thirteen, bad omens, tapping the doorframe and tempting fate all lead back to the same choice--"Hex yeah, let's press our luck."

Song Description

A dark, playful alternative dance-pop track built around superstition, temptation and knowingly making the wrong choice. "Hex yeah, let's press our luck" turns a bad decision into an infectious hook, while bright electronic production, rhythmic vocal play and an increasingly unhinged delivery give the song a mischievous edge.

Lyrics

Lucky number thirteen
I've always liked tempting fate
I know you are a bad decision
Dressed head to toe in black
Kiss of death

Hex yeah
Let's press our luck
Hex yeah

The signs are written on the wall
You smell like last call
And bad intentions
(Bad omen)
But my gin and tonic says

Hex yeah
Let's press our luck
Hex yeah

I slip the key in and tap the doorframe
As we cross the threshold
Rituals.
Your hand already climbing under my shirt
I know you are a bad decision, but

Hex yeah
Let's press our luck
Hex yeah

You were gone with the morning light
Back to your same haunts
I said last time was the last time
But I am a liar

Hex yeah
Let's press our luck
Hex yeah
