Song Description

written to describe the feeling you have when you know that you are falling in love but you just cant hear it yet, till its too late.

Story Behind the Song

When you let that someone walk away, and you should of just said "I love you", its time you knew you were falling. Its happened to most of us, and the question is were we too strong or to weak to say what was needed.

Lyrics

Falling

Written and composed by Paul Withers (aka Basebeta)
C/Am/C/Am/F/F#

Vers 1
I hear the raindrops on my windowpane
As night time falls - and brings the darkness again.
Why did I not hear the calling?

It's the way I hold you as I kiss you goodnight
It's the words I told you, well they always seemed right
Why did I not see we were falling?

Chorus:
Catch me now, while I'm floating high
Catch me now, don't let the moments, pass us by

Vers 2
I could see my soul dying, as you ran through the door
I heard you crying, as my heart lay on the floor
Why did I not hear the calling?

I still see the teardrops, stains on the pillow where you wept
It's the thoughts of you, the memories I've kept
Why did I not see that we were falling?

Chorus:
Catch me now, while I'm floating high
Catch me now, don't let the moments pass us by

Vers 3

I still hear your whispers, as I sleep at night
I wish you were here now, just to hold me tight
Why did I not hear the calling?
If I could you now, that I understand
If I could just see you now, and hold your hand
I'd tell you, I was falling

Chorus:
Catch me now, while I'm floating high
Catch me now, don't let the moments pass us by

I did not see us falling, but I heard you cry
