Song Description

In an arena exploding around him with the energy of fifty thousand fans. Where he leaves his tears, sweat and blood on the stage. He knew what to do. He had to go back to playing for the love of music.

Story Behind the Song

Hot Water He'd broken every rule written. He was sick. He was tired. But he was still Ryan "Hurricane" Silver, and he was cool. Was he too far gone for a chance at redemption? After all, he'd done things the devil himself would be embarrassed to admit. He'd got himself into Hot Water many times before. How did what was once beautiful become a disaster? He knew where to find the answer. In an arena exploding around him with the energy of fifty thousand fans. Where he leaves his tears, sweat and blood on the stage. He knew what to do. He had to go back to playing for the love of music. Back to when he was hungry and took nothing for granted. 'The Kid' would regain his intensity. After all, he was baptized in fire, and the fire would not be extinguished. You just gotta let it blaze when a heart burns in rugged terrain.

Lyrics

Is he too far gone
For a chance at redemption
He's done things
The devil won't mention
Sick and tired of the rules
They've been writing for him

Just a little bit
Of this life that he leads you
Shadow veil
He can't see through
In and out
Of a planet like this one today

He's a marauder
On the hunt for an answer
How the beautiful
Became a disaster
Little bit of the light
Leaves you today

Baptized in fire
Led to the slaughter
Still keepin' cool
He'll dance in Hot Water
Give him a night
He'll pay you back someday

Hard to take No escape

Here we go round
On the rollercoaster
You can get burned
If you get too much closer
Circus in town
Actors are ready to rage

High on the night
Arena exploding
Filled to the gills
And feeling the motion
Look past the lights
You can see blood on the stage

Baptized in fire...
Led to the slaughter...
Still keepin' cool...
In Hot Water

Too far gone
For a chance at redemption
He's done things
The devil won't mention
Sick and tired of the rules
They've been writing for him

Back to a time
When he was much younger
Listen real close
You can still hear the hunger
Gets so intense
Heart burns in rugged terrain
Baptized in fire...
Led to the slaughter...
Still keepin' cool...
In Hot Water
