It's a song about the constant ups and downs of her bi-polar relationship, and also a representation of her own ups and downs within herself and in her career as an actress and singer.
Song Description
Angelica Cassidy wrote this song for her television show that's based on her life and the writing of her latest album. She wrote "Rollercoaster" to represent her up and down relationship, and the bi-polar nature in which her life constantly takes. She begins the song with a classic rock sound, setting the listener in an almost psychedelic drugged state, the first verse describing as if she's literally riding a rollercoaster, "I can't see the ground, I'm up so high, the wind is on my face, I feel like I'm in flight." But then, the song goes into a sexy talking section, where it's revealed she's talking to something directly, a person, or life itself, "baby you're a crazy ride". The chorus describes being ill from going around and around, but how she will for sure ride the ride again, because in the end, she's truly addicted to the pleasure and the pain of it all. And in the second verse, she almost described a prison she's in, but that she falls faithfully into the grasp of it. It's a true black and white, hot and cold, up and down dichotomy explanation of a relationship that hits every extreme, or a life that never seems stable. It's got a classic rock feel throughout, with country and pop vibes throughout. Angelica's vocals are strong, yet mesmerizing.
