I was born in the neigborhood of Guanabacoa, but grew up in Luyano. I came to the USA in 1980. My forte is Reggae and Afro-Cuban Jazz, a little bit of Timba and Rumba mucha Rumba. But I guess, I'm more of a WorldBeat Musician. My main instruments are rhythms and lead guitar and bass.

I have been playing professionally since 1991. Played with "Polyrhythms" (from 1991-93, Dub Rockers (91) Black Starrs, (95-96) I & I, (95),Arawak Jah (96) International Connection, (2001) These are Reggae bands out of Madison WI.

I also toured the "Bob Marley Festival National Tour" with Arawak Jah. i moved to Austin, TX in 97 and started my first Afro-Cuban project name 'Karison. I toured the BMFT with KARISON every year as headliners until moving back to Mad-City in 2001.
