What man wouldn't want to hear his woman sing this (or say this) to him. This is a marvelous message and the underlying current of undying love really comes through. The intro is just right...short and sweet but really sets up the first verse. The lyric in the first verse is easily accessible and conversational..no wondering what the lyric means (and in my humble opinion, this is the essence of a GREAT country song!). The track is understated and clean. The performances of the musicians are just right for the track...no overplaying or competing for attention. The vocal is clear, in tune, in time and delightful sonically. The voice makes me want to hear more. I really love the sound of this recording. If I were to make one suggestion, it would be that the song could use a modulation at the end, just to add to the dramatic flair. That being said, from a demo perspective, this is perfect to pitch to artists, labels, publishers or producers.
Artist's Submitted Question:
This is my own original and is more typical country. I'd like to hear your thoughts about this one, as I think someone big like Carrie Underwood or Reba could really do it justice. Also for placements and other opportunities, I intended it originally for troops & first responders but then it got more personal . I have an opportunity to sell around 20K CD's this year, and I need a publisher, distributor and/or label. Thanks so much for your time and help! DeDe Wedekind :) dedewmusic@gmail.com
The song is excellent and the message s clear and universal. Again, what man would not want to hear his woman say this...and, actually, women would love hearing this, too! I agree that a "big voice" talent like Carrie or Reba could really nail this one and bring it home. It certainly could be presented as a song for first responders, but in truth, it really works for the regular, working man...one who gets no real attention other than his loved one. To me, that is the audience. I hope this helps.
