Born and raised near Chicago, NuDawn’s passion for performing was encouraged by her mother at an early age. Her avid thirst for the arts took shape in ballet, gymnastics, tap, jazz dancing and singing in the church choir and in the church’s performing arts program. NuDawn became the lead singer of a teenage band that performed top R&B/Soul cover songs until the band dissolved. She holds a degree in Psychology/Social Work and is an ordained minister who mentors young ladies.
