I'm a musician of many different sytlistic backgrounds, though some may not be evident in my recent work. I listen to metal bands such as Sleep Terror and of course, Metallica. More recently, I've been listening to mainstream R&B and assorted hip-hop.
My music is often perceived to be romantic and mezmorizing... But you can see for yourself!
I've been playing guitar and singing for roughly 7 years. I play electric more regularly, but for writing songs, I prefer the acoustic. When I can find time, I write instrumental metal pieces. You can find raw recordings on my other site, "www.myspace.com/maverickjudsonjams".
Other than that, I pretty much hope to do something life-changing with my music. I hope these songs pull on your heart strings, inspire someone, or otherwise be heard!

Maverick Judson - The Life Of...
I was born in a small town known as Emo, Ontario. Population, 1000...or less.
I did not come from an extremely musical family despite the fact that my mother occasionally sang at weddings and other related causes. My parents always had a very specific taste in music, so when I had the chance to listen to something different on my own I always made it count.
I have 2 brothers. The oldest is an assistant for a Liberal MP and the other plays for the OHL's Belleville Bulls. Funny how we went our seperate ways...
I grew up knowing I was able to transform, manipulate and even create melodies but was always afraid to show it. My mother often encouraged me, with cash even, but I never truly gave it a shot until roughly 9th grade when I wrote "Paradise" as more of an experiment to test my vocal strength, because I had become quite musical on the guitar. Slowly, but unsurely, I sent this song out and believe it or not, people liked it. So this is where things started cooking.
Through high school I was more involved in the so called "metal scene" and therefore spent scads of cash on promoting shows for some good bands and some bands that I was unsure about for the experience. In this time, I formed many bands to perform at various events like talent shows, Christmas concerts, open mics, and battle of the bands competitions.
I never truly began focussing on song-writing until end of grade 12, so I never really got a chance to promote my music in the school.
However, soon came "What's Missing", "Just Remember This", and "A Ballad Just for You". These 3 songs actually inspired me to begin creating a monster project called "You"(releasing summer of 2009).
Currently, I am in General Arts Studies at Fanshawe College in London, Ontario. I am competing for a spot in the "Music Industry Arts" program which I should be eligable for in January or sooner.
