Hiroshi Kono, a native of Nagoya, Japan was determined at 12 years of age to play rock 'n roll and switched from acoustic to the electric guitar to form a band. As the result of playing in various bands, he commenced original compositions at 15. Determined to play in the U.S., he reached his aspirations and moved to New York in 1992.

Upon arriving, he joined the Spectres, an American rock'n roll band. The Spectres played hundreds of gigs and recorded with Peter Denenberg, (known as the producer of the Spin Doctors) but disbanded in 1994.

After the participation in the rock band, "Remember Alice?" in 1995, he made a 5-track CD, "Les Duex / Polen D'hiro," with his former bandmate, Paolo Frassanito, in 1998. Shortly afterward, however, he realized that he would need to find a way to grow as a musician.

In the wake of this crossroads, he started taking classical guitar lessons with music professor, Lars Frandsen, thus, causing his musical exploration to turn 180 degrees from rock
