Macy Medford Bio

Macy Medford is a born and raised Texas girl who spends a lot of her time in Los Angeles. She has been singing, acting and dancing her whole life. But, now she has grown from the little girl who played the role of Annie to a 15 year old artist who is writing and performing her own songs. The CD Release Party of her CD, "Crazy 'Bout You" with multi-award winning writer and producer Jonathan George and Anthony Mazza was held at StereoLive in Houston in January 2012. Her songs can best be described as pop with a jazz edge. She has won many singing awards and has trained with world renowned vocal coaches. Currently she is under the creative direction of JG Entertainment in Los Angeles. ??Her single "Just Me and You" was just awarded the Grand Prize from the Dallas Songwriters Association contest. Macy was also nominated for Pop Artist of the Year at the 21st Annual LA Music Awards. She has performed on FOX and at the Houston Astros Baseball game to name a few exciting events this past year. Her single 'Just Me and You" was the first song to ever debut and hit #1 the first week on Tween Pop Radio. Her music video was filmed at an old home of Marilyn Monroe and on the beach in Malibu.
Acting and Theatre is also a big part of Macy's life. She was on a National Disney Commercial for a summer campaign. She also has played several leading roles such as Janet Van De Graff in The Drowsy Chaperone, Scapino in the Italian play Scapino, Iago in Aladdin, Annie in the musical Annie, Alice in Alice in Wonderland and Jo Jo in Seussical the Musical. Macy was a company dancer for many years and was a point soloist in the Nutcracker Ballet. ??Macy is an avid reader and writes poetry. She enjoys participating in choir and theatre programs at school and is in advanced classes. She also is a member of several non-profit organizations where she volunteers to help others. Macy is a very hard worker and tries her best to balance her busy life. She loves hanging out with her friends and has a passion for riding roller coasters...the scarier the better. She hopes to reach others with her music and make them smile.
