Bio
Loren Middleton is an accomplished practicing attorney and consummate guitarist and overall musician. Influenced by some of the greatest musicians, such as Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, George Benson, Miles Davis, Carlos Santana, Prince, George Clinton, and Dr. Dre, Loren has strived to become an eclectic and premier musician with a signature flavor and style. For over 20 years, Loren has explored with many instruments including the piano and guitar. During the mid-1990’s, Loren sought training from John McDonald, a prolific and accomplished blues guitarist who currently travels globally with Magic Slim and the Tear Drops. After his training with McDonald, Loren formed his own blues bands that performed for over 5 years at popular Chicago venues such as Buddy Guy’s Legends, Subterranean Lounge, Blues Etc, and Rooster Blues. Frustrated with gigging in clubs and politics in the music industry, Loren shifted his focus in 2001 towards music production where he has become proficient at developing innovative and complete musical compositions. In 2003, Loren partnered with Kyle Middleton to form Lo-Jazz Records, a revolutionary marketing and distribution platform for showcasing his compositions and those from other aspiring artists that Loren has produced for distribution under Lo-Jazz Records.
