i´m a spiritual, but yet emotional songwriter and singer, trying to combine a spiritual context with personal experiences and questions a soul and heart has to deal with in life, and put this into my writing. the goal always is to touch and heal the person´s heart on a deeper level, and to encourage the listener to follow his higher purpose and vision of his life.
I grew up in berlin and been raised by my mother in a very open-minded way of thinking and living, to be aware of the spiritual meaning and guidance that is the most important to me.
My musical influences reach from Bob Dylan to Native American Music, from HipHop to TripHop and Pop. But the most important inspiration from the age of 13 was Bob Dylan, whom i studied and listened to a lot. I started performing in little clubs and cafes in Berlin playing only with my guitar and sing mostly folkie stuff, but own compositions. Later on my music became more modern and started to vary from a more folkie style to a dreamy and soothing triphop, R&B-style, with samples and modern sounds.
In the late 90´s I met my later pruducer Perkin Barnes in New York City, who invited me to work with him and produce a record together. Our first CD didn´t really come out right, we had only little time and money to really bring out the best, so we started all over again in 2003/2004,and we made a record together which combines Folk with R&B, Pop-Ballads and Meditational songs to a very unique and soothing sound.
