KINFOLK MUSIC GROUP founder Cory "Sykes" Brown is a native Floridian, born and raised in Miami (Carol City). Sykes got his start at age 19 inside the infamous Miami Nights. Soon thereafter he began spinning at other night clubs in Miami for promoters Berry Dew (DWO) and Jae & Mae Productions. This was just the break he needed. Sykes quickly made a name for himself and would later tour with rappers Trick Daddy, Trina, Tre+6 (Miami), and Nuwine (Houston). In the late 90's Sykes was featured regularly on the Luke Show (99 Jams) with Luther ""Luke"" Campbell and Dj Khaled and has appeared on BET (the Basement and LA Live), MTV (Isle of MTV) and Christian Network (ATL). While traveling and learning his way around the studio, Sykes found new faith in God and quickly got out of ""the game"".

After continuously being sought after to edit and mix music and sound effects for live performances and plays, Sykes decided to target this market. Since then, all of the focus has been behind the scenes. Working alone since 2000, Sykes saw the official inception of the KINFOLK MUSIC GROUP during the spring of 2006.

Now six years later he is ready to take his slice of the pie, and represent the ""DIRTY, DIRTY""! Sykes along with his KINFOLK MUSIC GROUP is currently working on projects for new artists Stretch Brown, Aaron Doss, Greenbag Entertainment and more, as well as expanding their reach to Atlanta, GA.
