Biography

I was born and raised in the midwest, listening to music of all varieties. I found it amazing how often little things that most people overlook can be the most breathtaking. I became a Christian at the age or 17 after trying everything else, but quickly got tired of the Christian music scene. I wanted music that related to me, what I was feeling, what I longed for, in all areas of my life. I started writing at the age of 18 as freshman in college and have used it as a sort of therapy ever since. I have never been one to write "christian" music, but instead try and write honest, compelling art-filled music.

Maybe It's The Rain Lyrics

Maybe it's the rain
but I should've been asleep a long time ago
I'm watching all the cars pass by my window
and didn't you say that they looked lonely too?

Maybe it's the rain
Or maybe I just worry too much
like wishing for a golden touch
'cause I'm just the same and it's over to everyone but me

(chorus)
All of the words you said are in my head
You are a mystery to me
I wonder what you meant when you said she couldn't be everything
Or maybe it's the rain....

Maybe it's the rain
or maybe it's how hard I try
while watching all the bread fall from the sky
I wish I was a child, because I feel like a child

(chorus)
All of the words you said are in my head
You are a mystery to me, I wonder what you meant
when you said that I couldn't be everything

(Bridge)
Because it's just like a painting or the sunshine on your face
You can't tell you're changing until you're already changed
Or maybe it's the rain...

Learn To Wait Lyrics

I think about you in the morning
before the light has touched the sky
when all the weather starts turning
and the leaves say their goodbyes

Because I can feel the wind whispering my name
and I can see the stars tonight
through all these hurricanes

(chorus)
I will love you till time turns my hair gray
I'll remember till my memory fades away
I will hear your words when there's nothing left to say
I will learn to wait

I think about you when I'm lonely
And all the time has passed me by
When there's no one else around me
and this water's rising high

Because I can hear regrets creeping in again
they tell me nothing here has changed
It's the same as it's always been

Frisco Lyrics

Frisco by John Crist

And it's raining, but not where you are
It's so cloudy and you're wishing on a star
that's pulling down on you
Whispering all that's gone and left you here

And do you miss me? Lying in your room?
Is it still empty, or have you made it home?
and do you hear my voice coming through the telephone?
(prechorus)
Cause you've been running away
and I am on my knees

(chorus)
So tell me, how does it feel
when there's no one around you
and you're waiting for something
to come and save you?
And tell me, how does it feel
when there's so much behind you
and you've fallen so easily
again and again?

It's so constant though nothing here's the same
It's like a child that boarded the wrong plane
and only smiled when he noticed that the weather
had changed

(prechorus)
(chorus)

It's all I can do to know
that I'll soon be coming home

(Chorus 2)
You could always make me fall asleep
with the songs you would sing to me
You would make me fall in love with you
So tell me, how does it feel
when there's so much behind you
and you're waiting for something to come and save you?
