Some place where the crossroads of rock, pop, and alternative music meet,
you'll find Nashville-based singer-songwriter J. Alan.  His new album "Empty
Furniture" features honest, emotional lyrics and strong melodies.  J. Alan
is known for his magical fingers that charm the fretboard.  On the recent
studio release, he took a Beck-like approach and played many of the
instruments himself.

Originally from Ohio, he relocated to the Music City to seek a higher
education in the school of rock and roll.  Though, you may discern slight
country influences, as well.  J. Alan describes the completion of this album
as "one of my most rewarding and fulfilling projects so far."  Whether the
album sells ten copies or ten thousand, J. Alan considers the album a
