Fans and critics have compared Gentry Bronson and the Night Watchmen to Tori Amos with testicles, a young Tom Waits, Ryan Adams with a fedora, an American Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, and a West Coast R.E.M.

The Night Watchmen are singer, songwriter and pianist, Gentry Bronson, drummer, Alex Aspinall, upright bassist, Adam Thompson, and violinist and horn player, Jeff Hobbs.

Gentry formed the Night Watchmen and independently produced and released their 5-song EP Illumination in November 2001.

In Spring 2003, the band released the full length CD Lost In California entering the top 20 alternative bands on and within the same year.

In June 2004, Gentry independently released the solo CD Home, a raw recording featuring only voice and piano that fans amd critics have compared to the songwriting of Michael Stipe.

Gentry and the Watchmen are now recording a new CD planned for release in 2005.
