American R&B sensation Eryk should be in joy over the success of his radio hit "Can You Help Me?", originally recorded for a motion picture, was serviced to the airwaves for consideration. After entering the Beyond Radio Latin American monitored radio chart at #46 four weeks ago, the hit song jumps 20 spots to #7 this week. According to Beyond Radio it was one of last weeks most added new songs at Latin radio.

According to Eryk's management, "Can You Help Me"," was never going to be released and there were no plans
for the track to appear on his forthcoming album titled "Driving Away," which is set for release in March 2003. A commercial single for "Can You Help Me?," has become possible according to Eryk's publicist, Philip Moroder who told Mi2N that the song is top 10 on radio stations in Chile and Bolivia, but that won't promise a rush release of Eryk's album, when said, Eryk is only 5 or 6 songs into the album.

Born May 18, 1982, eryK's entertainment career began at the age of 13 years old, nephew to Motown superstar and Grammy Living Legend Award winner Smokey Robinson. Following previous commercial work, eryK. put that behind him to focus on his music career, and at age 14 signed his first ever contract, one for a 3 album deal, which he was able to get out of and renegotiate for an undisclosed amount. In 1995 he started work on his debut album "The End" with producer Wilson Pena, he put together an 11 track album of R&B, Dance, and Funk songs. eryK. wrote and CO-wrote 10 of the song's on the album at the young age of 14. "End Of The World" was the first single to hit the radio waves. It peaked at #82 on the Billboard R&B Singles chart, but while sales were low in the USA "End Of The World" made a debut in the Top 30 of chart's in Japan, and ending up reaching #6 weeks later. The disc was able to produce 3 more top 40 pop, top 10 dance hit singles. The album would peak at #44 on the pop chart and #8 on the dance chart before 1997 closed. "The Magic Is Working" and "End Of The World" both hit GOLD, "The Magic Is Working" also hit #2 on the Dance Chart and stayed there for 5 weeks never making the pole peak #1. While 1997 was closing his debut album hit Platinum, and won and was nominated for many music awards. While taking a break in 1998, he CO-hosted New York's WBLS Top 9 at 9 With JC Jordan in summer 1998, until winter 1998 while writing for his new album.
