Raised in and near New Orleans, Donna Toler now makes her home on the beautiful Gulf Coast of Alabama where she and her husband, Stan, are raising their two sons. As a singer/songwriter, she and her husband write honest, upbeat songs that are capable of delivering difficult messages from life and scripture as well as deep, soulful ballads that often move audiences to tears and contemplation. Donna counts Aretha Franklin, Mahalia Jackson, Bonnie Raitt and Annie Lennox among her primary musical influences. While she holds a degree in Church Music and makes her living as a private voice teacher and auditioned children’s chorus director, her own personal vocal style leans more toward contemporary gospel in the vein of Yolanda Adams and the Winans than the music of her classical training. Donna and Stan’s music has received many excellent critical reviews from industry professionals. She leads in worship and shares her concert ministry at churches and events throughout the Southeast.
