The Story thus far...

Cuan Korsten's music has been described by his peers as a fusion of bands like Coldplay, Snow Patrol, OneRepublic, Dave Matthews Band and Crowded House with shadows of the vocal styles of James Taylor and Paul Simon. Sometimes rough & edgy, sometimes gentle & empathetic each song tells an intimate story.

He recently returned from a successful tour in the UK where he performed songs from his debut album - "Your Today". Korsten played his first gig in London after being interviewed by London-based radio station - Radio SA. He opened for South African stand-up comic, Barry Hilton, to a crowd of 600. He began carrying his guitar along to various "Open Mic Nights" where he captivated audiences with his delicate, heartfelt songs, honest stories and irresistible South African charm. Invitations to play at local venues soon began flooding in and he went on to enter the Dorset Unsigned Music Awards, where he reached the finals and received a standing ovation. Towards the end of his stay, he performed at the Bournemouth Live Festival, which was also a huge success. As he gigged he quickly befriended other musicians, many of whom he went on to perform with, and one of whom requested that Korsten produce his first album - a project which he is currently working on.

He is now writing & recording the follow-up to "Your Today" and it is set to be an even bigger success than the first - which sold copies as far afield as China and Australia - and is eagerly anticipated by Cuan Korsten's fans.
