Thanks for your review of the Wes Dinwiddie/Starburst Records collaborative song Pure Evil. While i respect everyone's right to assert their personal opinion, I would humbly submit that not every song has to be designed to achieve commercial success....or even having that its goal or measurement standard. Sometimes a song is simply a reflection of what the artist is thinking about, sometimes its writing is a therapeutic exercise to shed negativity. As always, i wish you the very best. jay

I can see that. There are just some topics that are pretty cringe-worthy and for me this is one. But I totally get artistic freedom, whether or not I agree with it.

Good Morning Quarantines!
There are so many beautiful and fun tunes on this site but thought i'd take the time to shine a light on some I feel are important and why. I used to be able to copy and paste the link but the system seems to have changed so I"ll just write the song and artist:

MARIANNE By Greg Lambert: This song is portrayed by a young man whose girlfriend and he, faced with an unexpected pregnancy, had chosen abortion. It is non-judgmental, just moving and thought provoking, and a rarity coming from a male point of view. The instrumentation is bouncy and light giving contrast to the controversial and painful subject. Just an outstanding, special song.

AT A TIME LIKE THIS Dianne MacAdam: This song depicts a woman facing a terminally ill loved one and leaving the obvious unsaid. Chilling. And unique while remaining universal.

ONCE The LovePops w/ Nick Fuse: This duet with Dianne MacAdam tells the story of a young man looking back over his relationship with his dead (or dying) lover and realizing how fragile we are and how short the time we have is. I could be wrong but it seems he is telling their story to their young child. You have to listen a few times for it to really hook you and then it becomes part of the fabric of your life.

And for women (and men too of course...).
COMPLICATED MAN Peter (PGO) Olach: A man laments the loss of his relationship and expresses his internal feelings of weakness. It is very raw and showcases that men (ladies?) are actually very emotional despite their cool exteriors. Love it!
Btw Complicated Man is hard to find on search. Look under albums and it is track #2 of album by same name on Starburst Records

Well check 'em out... if you already have, treat yourself again. And I'd like to thank those artists (Who I'm fortunate enough to call friends :) for digging deep and putting in the time to create these masterpieces to share with us! Happy songwriting!

One of my very favorite songs for so many reasons.

may our songs be the real cure. time will tell because the clock does not stop clicking, no matter our good wishes. after all, we are human and members of the B'Jam Fam.

Awww, thank you so much Susan! You are too kind. Another amazing point about Greg's song Marianne is that he is an ordained deacon. And for those out there who may not have heard Susan's songs "The Seat Next To Mine" and "Bye Bye Sonny", I strongly suggest you do! Thanks again Susan

Greg - as far as I'm concerned, you are a good reason why the B'Jam Fam still exists. WTH: you're almost as good as me :>) all next aside, you possess an indelible signature that always deserves a FIVE and the some.
