One of the most prodigious indie bands to hit South Florida, Zen the Band has been rockin' out since 2005; but their story begins long before then. Growing up in sunny Miami, these close-nit friends and family have been chillin' together since their diaper-days. Daniel Cam, guitarist, and Juliette Cam, vocalist, are siblings as well as Alex Smith, guitarist, and Addison Smith, drummer. Zen's bassist, Robert Bare, fits perfectly into this family with his flare for rhythm and powerful stage presence. But no one can upstage the stunning Juliette, who hypnotizes audiences with her melodic vocals. Zen the Band's style is a mash up of reggae and alternative rock; inspired by Pink Floyd, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Radiohead. On any given weekend, you're most likely to find Zen the Band infiltrating downtown Miami in venues such as PS-14, White Room, and Churchills. Naturally, this is only the beginning for Zen the Band, who plan on releasing their much-anticipated album in 2010
