Bio

Jon Deron VonSeggen (aka Yoyokid) is a multi-instrumental musician, producer and singer/song-writer from Denver, Colorado. Due to his diverse background, his eclectic style can be difficult to categorize. The musical range he covers includes electronic, dance, rock, blues, hip-hop, r&b, funk, ska and reggae.

Jon began playing piano at age 5 and grew up in the recording studio performing character voices for music and sketches published by One Way Street, Inc. In 1989 He began producing and engineering music for One Way Street and produced numerous albums and instrumentals for OWS over the years while developing an instrumental quiver that includes a vast array of instruments

Jon went on to study music theory and arrangement at PLNC in San Diego, CA. After moving back to Colorado in 1994, he formed the group Soul Rabbit with Walkabout front man Bret Sloan. In 2002 Jon and Bret recorded Soul Rabbit's debut album "OM." Released in January of 2003, "OM" is a progressive mix of modern folk, rock, funk and soul and many of the songs from this album are available here.

Currently Jon is working on setting up a recording studio in the Capitol Hill area of Denver, songwriting and producing projects for a growing list of clients, and working with a group of musicians in the Denver area who are committed to pushing the boundaries of rock, hip-hop and electronica known as "The Progression Project."
