WE ARE I

"WE ARE I" is an amazing rock band making a huge impact on the music scene. This band blends a hard edge sound with a melodic vocal package and powerful live performances. "WE ARE I" has been cultivated in the work ethic of endless hours spent perfecting their craft. Their hard work is evident in their debut CD, "Off The Hook", from the first track to the last.

Frontman, Jay Staples, has one of the most unique voices you will ever hear. His melodies captivate his audience with powerful and energetic performances. Jay has a style all his own, his passion for the music shows through his mesmerizing vocals and electrifying expressions.

On guitar, Rich Chamberland, his hard edge, heart pounding style is a driving force on each song. His rifs reveal a masterful artist with unlimited talent. Rich commands attention every time he takes the stage,and his fans are always blown away.

Drummer, Mike Salois, controls the progression of the music from track to track. The sound is punctuated with every beat, driving home the bands personality. From beginning to end, Mike makes sure that the foundation for each track is as solid as the principals it's based on.

Last but not least, basist Keenan Wakem. Keenan combines a free spirit and a passion for the music that is very contagious. From the first note on his bass it is evident where his heart is, the stage. Keenan's performance will guide you on the show's true path. All of the members of "WE ARE I" share the vocals which helps to make up the melodic phrasing of their heavy music. The early days of this band found them in the studio with renowned producer, Anthony Resta, who has worked with the likes of Megadeath, Collective Soul, Elton John, and many others. While still in the recording phase, Rich sent sent a rough mix of two songs to the band Disturbed. Upon hearing the two tracks, Dave Dramin personally called "WE ARE I" to open for them in Boston on their Music As A Weapon Tour. Next, a win in a Massachusetts Battle of the Bands placed them in front of 40,000 people at the Sky Show in Manchester, NH opening for Tantric, Lacuna Coil, Shinedown, Ra, and others. After the Sky Show, "WE ARE I" became the most requested artist on New Hampshire's Rock 101. Intense touring throughout the Northeast, combined with many favorable reviews, such as Face Magazine proclaiming "Mary" the best song of 2004, resulted in high praise and scrutiny of the band by many within the music industry. "WE ARE I" has once again been graced by the talented producer Anthony Resta for their second CD. Release dates for their new CD will be coming soon.
