Volatile Blue has been compared to the sound of Matchbox 20, Coldplay, and Fuel. Their 2004 release, Find Your Way, embraces themes of longing in absence and a soul's scream for freedom. Volatile Blue draws a bead that will burn a path through the hardened cynical mind of the betrayed, backstabbed, and spurned soul bent on finding a way to a place called home.

Press Info

Volatile Blue has musically gone its own way from the start. They've written songs that would capture the moment, but would carry you through the years. "This has always set us apart from the other bands we've played with,” says lead singer Todd Berger. "Years ago while everyone was blowing a gasket yelling over chunk riffs, we were busy writing melody's that would find a way in the back rooms of your sub conscience that would creep out and haunt you."
Band members Todd Berger, Mike Bartnicki, Tom Fishburn, Seth Toncar, and Sarah Toncar are stylistically diverse in their own musical preferences. Out of this tension comes a unique sound, heavy enough to bob your head to the slow burning groove, but pop sensible enough that you wake up in the morning with the songs locked in your head. The thick tannins these songs achieve will swallow you in the undertow of a quiet euphoria. www.volatileblue.com
