Bio

Vivacity began about a year ago at our school, when a small group of friends began discussing their ambitious plans to become the greatest band ever. Within a few weeks of giving birth to the concept they were scribbling down ideas for songs and discussing future rehersals. Many schemes were hatched over the winter of 2002, some of them going on to be realised while others fell by the way side, and for a long time the bands future was pivotted on the early ideas for Ollie's Tight Pants; a novelty comedy song written about a certain friend who wore pants of the tight variety.

That Christmas the band members got their instruments and could finally have their first rehersal. It was a somewhat anticlimatic event though with few ideas worth the paper they were printed on, but still the determination to suceed was there. It would be another 4 rehersals spread over the following 3 months before the band got the first sign that they had a chance to make it, Vivacity meant nothing until that fateful day when 'Live For Today' was written. After this the band was ready to acheive greatness; a flood of songs was unleashed and several little gems were slowly developed into the classics they have become. Songs like Poetry In Motion and 38 Years have scince gone on to surpass Live For Today, it was meerly a launching pad into the creative mindframe the band needed to adopt.
