Union-jack is a high energy rock band with lots of stage presence. Chris Montcalmo on lead vocals. He performs playing rhythm guitar and keyboards as well. . Steve Taormino on lead guitar also plays keys and sings backing vocals. He and the Bass player Paul Fast put on an excellent show with energy while backing up Chris as he performs up front. Jack Taormino is the foundation and leader of the group. Excellent on drums and percusssion, not trying to overfill songs, but to add groove and create a pocket, with a some good fills where they fit. He's the whip cracker that keeps the band progressing and improving, with new goals and deadlines as each new song is finished.

Union-jack has sent CD's to Russia for radio play by request of the radio station there. (Euopa Plus) They have also won the semi-finals for the Hard Rock / Rolling Rock Town Fair "Battle of the Bands" in Balto. Maryland. Finishing in the finals 2nd by only 4 votes. The band also has "Welcome to My Mind" being aired on a program in Central Wisconsin on Z104 Rocks. CD sales have been in 5 states thus far and the UK and Austrailia, and now Russia. Union-jack has played at "The Maryland State Fair" 2000. They have also played the 98 Rock stage at Towsontown Festival in May 2000, Federal Hill Block Festivals in Baltimore 2000. Released their first Full Length CD at "The Hard Rock Cafe" in Baltimore on Dec. 8, 2000. Now has music being played on MTV'S "Undressed" as of Feb. 28, 2001. WHFS and 98 Rock Radio have both played some Union-jack songs on the air. Union-jack continues to play weekly and promote themselves independently at this time in the Mid Atlantic
