Biography of Trace Ellington

Trace Ellington, a younger branch of the Ellington (Duke) dynasty, breathes life into the soul of music, resurrecting sounds comparable to Sly and The Family Stone, Curtis Mayfield, and Jimi Hendrix with a hip-hop, pop twist.

Trace's multi-talents as a singer, songwriter, and producer only enhances his unique compilations. His commanding stage presence is supported by his mastery of various instruments including piano, keyboards, drums, guitar and bass.

He worked with artists such as Too Short, Jamie Foxx, Crucial Conflict, Death Row, Danny Boy, Aaron Carter (NSync), Suga T (E-40's sister), and Larry Dunn (Earth, Wind & Fire), doing production and shooting music videos.

Trace took time to re-focus taking his spiritual journey and completing his album "Let Love In". The current single, Let Love In, is playing in the UK on the Soul Brothers label. Trace's CDs "Let Love In", "Life Love & Music" and the Mood Cafe © Mixer is currently be played on LastFM. Trace is performing at various venues in the Bay Area, with recently sharing the stage with Goapele, and also played bass for the original band, Switch.
