Bio

Born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, with his roots stemming from Georgia and Mississippi, is a country boy at heart. His yes sir and no ma’am manner is hardly what you’ll hear in his rhymes. After hearing one song you’ll see where he got his name.

TonyWHOA! started out as a poet and songwriter at the age of 8. His first song “Baby be mine” was written in the back of his 3rd grade classroom at Glenn Hills Elementary in Augusta, GA. After moving back to Indianapolis, he was introduced to Hip Hop by his uncle, CEO at Jamm-A-Lott Records. It was love at first sight.
By the age of 14 his first cassette tape was on consignment in Rockin’ Billie’s Records in Indianapolis. At 16 he became an Outlaw. Their 1991 release “Can U Rap” quickly became an Naptown favorite. The summer’s most requested song on Power 105.7 WTLC. Tony decided to go solo following the Outlawz’ split in 1992.

In 2000, while still a secular artist, he was invited to perform at a different kind of show. The Bloodwashed Jam, sponsored by Brian Carter and Blood Washed productions. This was his introduction and induction into Christian Rap. He opened the show for Christian Mega Star KJ-52. No longer bragging about himself, he now had a new subject matter for his awesome lyrics; the Almighty himself.

2004 marked the new millennium for Tony, as he married his new business partner and fellow 5th Eye artist, Simple’. Then expanding their production and releasing two new albums, “The Soft Album” by TonyWHOA! and “Simple’ Sayin” by Simple’ .
2006 is the year of the banger. TonyWHOA! has put the WHOA! back in WHOA!! With the re-release of "WW2:the rapper vs the poet" digitally remastered with 5 lost songs added to the fold. Also, assembling an all star cast for the first installment of the Bible Thump series. Bringing together some of the United states best Christian rappers and singers.
2007 looks very promising, with upcoming releases like, “The Hard Album”, “Bible Thump 2”, video release of “In U.S. We Trust”, and his first book of poetry “The Lonely Super Hero”. (MidWall Publishing, Inc.)
