The Rollicks Duo is a spin off from the band. Rick and Laura tour non stop through New Zealand and are in high demand.
Besides playing a wide range of covers, we record our own music.We learn from our musical journey by playing songs by the greatest songwriters. This process lets us grow and we love doing it...!

The Rollicks
The Rollicks are a band that formed in late 1997 in a little barn in the Netherlands. At first they were an original band, but soon they started playing covers by The Rolling Stones, Chuck Berry, Muddy Waters and B.B. King.
After playing gigs around Europe for 3 years, The Rollicks went to New Zealand for a holiday. There they decided they should do a tour of New Zealand.
What started as a joke soon became a great challenge. As a truly independent band, they gave every inch of themselves to organize a tour on the other side of the globe.
On Tour
In December 2001, The Rollicks commenced on their first tour of New Zealand. It would take them four months to play 74 shows as a Rolling Stones Tribute band. This formula was a huge success. In December 2002, The Rollicks started a second tour around New Zealand, again playing over 70 shows in four months time.
The Rolling Stones Tribute became a highly polished act. They played at Sky City Casino's, festivals such as the Wildfoods Festival Hokitika (2002, 2003, 2005) and Blues, Brews & BBQ's (2002, 2003, 2005). During the Lions vs. All Blacks Rugby Tour 2005, The Rollicks performed at the official pre-match events in Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland, as well as the Barmy Army Headquarters.
These shows often featured the independently released "All Black Anthem" written by The Rollicks.
In April 2006, The Rollicks played at a Rolling Stones concert after-party on Queen's Wharf in Wellington. This event took place just meters from the Intercontinental Hotel, where the Rolling Stones stayed that night. The next morning Mick Jagger commented to a Wellington newspaper that the Rolling Stones loved the embracement around their Bigger Bang concert.
The Rollicks Duo
The Rollicks Duo is a spin off from the band. Two of the core band members -Rick and Laura- expanded their repertoire with covers from the Temptations, James Brown, Bob Marley, Stevie Wonder, Jimi Hendrix, Marvin Gaye, Fleetwood Mac, Eric Clapton and Carlos Santana, as well as Sonny Terry & Brownie Mc Gee, Jimmy Reed and John Lee Hooker and of course their original material.
One of their latest songs, "World Keeps Turning" was written and recorded in New Zealand and produced by a former bandmember of the Commodores.
With "World Keeps Turning", The Rollicks won a semi final position in the prestigious U.K. Songwriting Contest 2007. Judges in this contest include Al Jarreau, the Bacon Brothers, D12 and Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas.

Many times The Rollicks Duo have been hired to make people dance. For that purpose they use professional QUALITY backing tracks. This means it sounds like a full band, without the full band pricing. Another positive thing is that the volume output can be adjusted to fit noise control requirements. The Rollicks Duo can supply their own P.A. and light gear.
