Bio

Formed in the fall of 2005, an Erhu Rock Fusion Group. the definition of east meets west. Hsu-nami is breaking new grounds with their patented Erhu Hard Rock (Chinese Fiddle), an approach that is helping to introduce the instrument to new listeners everywhere. It is characterized as new-age fusion, the osmosis of oriental pastime with the tenacity of modern hard rock.

In their short two years together Hsu-nami has managed to open for Yellowcard, Chthonic ??, Nightmare of You, The Parlor Mob, World Leader Pretends, and Jet Lag Gemini. They have also performed at Union Square Park, NYC for numerous Asian Culture Festivals, the CAPA Fest, and the Passport 2 Taiwan Fest. Hsu-nami has headlined many clubs like the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ, the Mexicali Blues Cafe in Teaneck, NJ and one of the closing nights at CBGB’s in NYC, NY.
