Professional verbage from our on

Formed in the winter of 2008, The Americanos are a proud amalgamation of America's rich musical traditions of Blues, Jazz, Country and Folk.

Singer Songwriter AJ Szozda is the driving force behind the band. He has penned over 1000 lyrics and is a prolific songwriter ever on the lookout for the muse. Szozda sings most of the bands lead vocals and also contributes on Guitar, Mandolin, Banjo, Percussion and Harp.

Mick Mason brings his versatile style of guitar playing to the band with a plethora of tasty licks, riffs and melodies. His other contributions include high harmony vocals. He's also the lead influence arranging the bands harmony vocals.

Mason and Szozda have developed a songwriting partnership and together have penned many of the bands songs. Mason's musical influences have provided a welcome challenge for Szozda to push his craft in new directions.

Steve Knurek is the bands upright bassist whose jazz roots bring a level of harmonic sophistication which adds to the groups appeal. His other contributions include high harmony vocals as well as songwriting credit including the haunting "Balloons", co-written with Szozda.

Tom Goodwin is a veteran of the music scene and lawyer by day. He is the bands secret weapon who fills out the sound with auxiliary percussion, violin, mandolin, and low harmony vocals. His versatility gives the band a lot of freedom when arranging and coloring the songs. He also wrote the bands tender ballad, "Learning to Waltz".

The group's debut album, "Redempted Sinner", is set for release January 1st, 2012.

What the experts might say, in theory.

Redempted Sinner is the debut album from the indie roots act The Americanos. An original music string band, The Americanos genre jump from folk, blues, reggae, jazz, country, bluegrass to good old americana. Released in 2012 and recorded at Zeta Recording Studio, "Redempted Sinner" features the bands signature 4-D Wall of Sound. A rich sonic landscape as big as a western sky, The Americanos are a part of the heartland, Ohio that is. The bands soaring 4 part Harmonies, melodic hooks and original takes on traditional music make this effort memorable.
