Terri's songwriting began with a tune in her head. She's not sure why she wrote it down (since she had not planned to be a writer!) but she did (divine intervention!) and her songwriting career was born.

Terri writes in the R&B/Pop Genre, however with strong melodies and lyrics, she is versatile. Her passion for music was shaped early on listening to her parents play the hottest soul jams back in the day, listening to top 40 radio, singing in chorus and drama. Terri went on to graduate Cum Laude from Norfolk State University and got her Masters degree in Social Work from Howard University where she used it helping troubled youth. Little did she know at the time that these influences would shape her songwriting style which has been described as having the ability to create emotions to the listener.

Terri has been writing for over nine years and has gained many in the last 2.5 years she has introduced her work to the music industry. Some accomplishments include a Finalist Award in the Hip Hop/R&B category and Suggested Artist Award in January in the international 2004 Song of the Year contest for VH-1 Save the Music Foundation. The judges included some of the biggest names in music including Grammy winners. Terri was signed non-exclusively to Silver Note Music, a publisher out of Canada where her songs were shopped to major label artists such as Faith Evans and Amerie to name a few.
