Steve Baskin and the band have finished work on the follow-up to Steve's debut album, I Sometimes Think. You might recall that Steve played and sang all of the tracks on the 2006 release, I Sometimes Think. He's got the help of his amazing band on this latest effort.

While I Sometimes Think largely explored emotions around love and relationships, Naked's themes run all over the place - love; love gone bad; running; the stress of the office; the Zen of the river; runaways; prostitution; and death.

The band was in the studio in August and December and finished up the tracks at Steve's Underground Studio. Glenn Matullo, who mixed and produced I Sometimes Think is back at the console on this group of songs. Naked will be out May 15.

Steve Baskin

Since 2006, Steve Baskin has been recording and performing his brand of power pop and rock around the South.

A Georgia native, Steve Baskin began his musical career swinging his Les Paul Deluxe around fronting a 10-piece R&B band called Hugo A Gogo who played with Sam & Dave, The Shirelles, The Shirelles, Carla Thomas, Mary Wells and Percy Sledge. The band even opened for The Beach Boys on their 25th anniversary tour.

More recently, Steve worked with Cindy Wilson (of B-52's fame) as the guitarists and vocalist on her first solo project. The Cindy Wilson Band played major clubs, festivals and television - including a national broadcast of Live From Music Midtown on Turner South. As a guitarist in The Cindy Wilson Band he shared the stage with Don McLean, Mike Mills, Edwin McCain and received the thrill of a lifetime performing onstage with June Carter Cash playing "May The Circle Be Unbroken".

Both Naked and I Sometimes Think are available at iTunes, DigStation.com, CDBaby, Not Lame Recordings and Amazon.com.
