In an over saturated market, there are a handful of artists and bands who strive to not only create their own sound and art, but do it effectively. Enter Skywire. The band released "The Roots Run Deeper", a 6 song debut EP in February 2007. The band has gone on to sell 400+ copies since the release until mid July 2007 through touring and radio play through college radio stations and Raleigh, NC Clear Channel Rock Station 96.1FM (WBBB). The band managed to sell out their last two hometown shows in Raleigh after the release of their debut disc, widening the band's fan base in North Carolina. With a similar vocal style ranging from Anthony Kiedis (Red Hot Chili Peppers) to Chino Moreno (Deftones), Nick Driver writes lyrics full of insight, hope, and often abstract in nature at times. The instrumentals of the Leser brothers, Sumner and Weaver are comparable to bands such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Team Sleep and 311. The band was picked to play Warped Tour in Charlotte in 2007!

QUOTES:
"Skywire's innovative brand of rock music is paving a new direction in the North Carolina music scene." -96.1 FM

"With a scene full of Underoath & Glassjaw rip off bands, Skywire's the ONE band stepping on new territory with the ability to write great songs. With the ability and craftsmanship to play as soft and beautiful as music can be, then as aggressive as any hardcore band out today; this is something special."-N.C. Scenester

"These Triangle natives blend edgy guitars with electronic backdrops and an occasional scream, making their band one that is quickly and quietly turning heads in the Raleigh area" -The Technician

?Skywire?s music holds passion and topics about love, what?s beyond this life and artistic views. They are looked at as being very art based in their lyrics. They have managed to blend an underground sound into a mainstream fit that is working wonders for them!? -Thanh Nien Daily

"Skywire has played at the Luna Bean in Wilson, NC a few times and always put on one hell of a show. They are original and smart and play with an intensity unmatched by most other bands. We at the Luna Bean wish them much success and wait for the day when they mention us on the video channels (tv, cable and internet)." William (Managment), The Luna Bean
