the roots rebels

the roots rebels was founded in 2000 by robert maccabee rebel after backin up two bands in opening concerts for damian and julian marley and kymany marley in april 2000. in 2001 singer and fire man d'angelo ras joined the roots rebels.the group consist of a drummer ,guitarist,bass ,keyboards and a singer.roots rebels is a known band in its native aruba and played numerous concerts trough out the island and traveled to bonaire to perform a concert.roots rebels played concerts on the beaches of aruba for visitin tourists.altough aruba is known for its majestic calypso festivals its public received reggae very well.in 2002 the roots rebels backed a local group in the studio to record a single named tribulation by aruban artist angelo figaroa.in 2003 the rebels started on their album but soon ceased due financial difficulties.not givin up and in 2004 after fundraised to complete the album they entered the studio and started to record prophecy.backed by local superstars hidward croes who played in various concert with international superstar juan luis guerra and 440 band and chichi peralta and son familia,martin buitenweg who played also with chichi peralta and mirurgia de cuba.various known musicians backed the rebel force and with the power of the almighty we concluded our first album.our dream is to perform alongside the superstars of reggae music in the world contributing our part in history of the culture.we currently planning and fundraisin to record our second album and look forward to work with international record labels to reach a positive outcome....give thanks
