John ( the one on the left ) was raised in Wawa , Ontario , Canada which is on the north shore of Lake Superior.
Played in many bands and as a solo in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Moved to Nashville in 93 and hooked up with Berk Davis ( the one on the right ) . Formed a lasting writing relationship . Call ourselves "The Beautiful Shirts " We have a similar sense of humor ( left of center ) and write anything, any style as long as it has soul and is real (or ridiculously funny ).
