Rob is the "2019 IMEA Folk Artist of the Year" based in Statesville, NC.  He performs internationally solo and regionally with his band comprised of Pat McHale on Harmonica, Peter McCranie on Dobro, Frank Berridge on Bass, JJ James on Mandolin. He is also the host of the legacy monthly Summit Coffee Songwriter Showcase featuring the best local, regional and touring acts in Davidson, N.C. The longest running songwriter showcase in the Carolinas, since 2010.

Rob McHale is a North Carolina based Folk Artist. His songs can take you through a small town, down a dirt road, on a historical journey and bring you back home.

His songwriting has won awards or mention with Billboard, IMEA, American Songwriter Magazine, Woody Guthrie Folk Festival, and Dallas Songwriters. IHe was awarded MEA Folk Artist of the Year 2019 and Folk Album of the Year 2019 ( Prophets on the Boulevard)

' Tom Dooley and Friends ' was released October 1st, 2016 and landed the #2 and #9 songs on the Folk DJ Charts and was the #8 Album. The project was a dedication to historian and artist Edith Carter, founder of Whippoorwill Village and the Tom Dooley Museum.

In addition to general performances, Rob is the host of the Longest Running Songwriter Showcase in the Carolinas, The Summit Coffee Songwriters Showcase in Davidson, NC. The monthly Showcase is the longest running showcase in the Carolinas and features talented local, regional, and touring artists and international artists. The Showcase starts celebrated it's 100th show in September 2018.
