Since the age of seven Randy has played piano, guitar bass and drums. Professional credits include both live performance and recording as a session artist in some fantastic studios including studios frequented by Stevie Ray Vaughn and REO Speedwagon.
Featured here on Broadjam is a collection of instrumental orchestrated pop, rock, electronic, and new age music composed, performed and engineered by Randy in his studio which he calls Absolute Studio.
Most of the songs you hear have been included in various music libraries such as Daddy Jack Music, Platinum Music, Time Warner, Decidedly Superior Music, and Fox Sports.
We can only hope somewhere, someday, someone would want to use Randy's songs in their film or television show. Have a listen and judge for yourselves. Let Randy know if it deserves that high honor. That is what Broadjam is all about!

Since the age of seven Randy has played piano, guitar bass and drums. Professional credits include both live performance and recording as a session artist in some fantastic studios including studios frequented by Stevie Ray Vaughn and REO Speedwagon.
Randy has had the unique and honorable experience of performing in front of thousands with artists such as John Michael Montgomery, Sammi Smith, (Help me Make it Through the Night) Buck Trent of Hee Haw, Sugar Loaf and dozens of great local musicians in Iowa and from around the country.
In the late nineties, the desire to record at more at home originated in a Multimedia class in Fairfield, Iowa. Nobody could drag him away from the lab which then was comprised of some very early Macintosh computers. During that time period the album Relatively Absolute was created and it soon became a obsession to find a place for this music. It was ideal for background music from the start.
Technology needed to develop just a little more to create master quality material with a home computer. For Randy, at least, this learning curve paralleled the computer industry's growth and the studio turned to state-of-the-art digital audio recording techniques.
The move towards more writing and digital recording has kept Randy at home lately especially with the addition of four year old Kaylee Grace featured above. Kaylee fell asleep on the Vox amplifier and guitar case after an early night Christmas gig and the camera captured it well. Randy remarks "One minute she was talking and happy when we looked over to our amazement Kaylee had fallen asleep".
There will be more coming from Absolute Studio in the near future as Randy studies online towards an Audio Engineering Diploma, Information Technology Diploma, and a Design Diploma to compliment the Music Certificate obtained from his home town university.
