Paul Siegel was born and raised in the lower Hudson River Valley of New York State, where rural and urban influences collide. He has been writing songs since he was twelve years old. Having the good fortune to play with great musicians he has led various projects dedicated to his material. Dogtalk, an "infectious groove" funky rock band (think Talking Heads) from 1985-1990; Charley Django, a grunge rock band featuring Paul's unique flavor (think Pearl Jam meets Dave Matthews) from 1993-1996; Baggabones, embracing more of our folk traditions, from 1998-1999; his most recent band, Chester, featured players Paul has been wanting to play with for quite a while; his latest solo release "After Willoughby Station" embraces the challenge of intimacy in the singer/songwriter aesthetic.
