The Bio/One Man's Journey

Papi Ray Oneal is a soulful musical inspiration from the southern mid-west, where much of earlier blues and rock legends like Elvis Presley originated their careers. Papi Ray was born in Tunica Mississippi. At an early age, he and his family moved to the Kennett Missouri area (Sheryl Crow’s hometown), where he still goes back to visit.

Since history and everything else repeats itself by mixing the old with new, Papi Ray’s style of music could very well be the next step in (Top 40) contemporary music. It is what he calls “Nu-Skool R&B/Hip-Hip.”

While traveling the globe with an entertainment circuit for the military, he has captured the emotions of real events occurring in most relationships and put them into his songs of this album.
