History of Motivation Plus

Motivation Plus Publishing began over 17 yrs ago by Tim Smith. Tim by that time had an extensive background in Country music. He had already shared the stage with many country legends such as Conway Twitty, Loretta Lynn, Crystal Gayle, George Jones, Barbara Mandrell, Mickey Gilley, Johnny Lee, Freddie Fender, Gene Watson, Billy Crash Craddock, Jerry Lee Lewis, Ray Stevens and many more, but in 1986 he left the road to raise his son T.C. "Chance" Smith. God then blessed him with a wife and two more children. His dream of being successful in the music business had to be put on the back burner, although he continued to write songs throughout those years.

Three years ago, Chance had achieved recognition and success as an artist with Muzik Mafia while traveling and doing shows with Big and Rich, Hank Williams Jr, Kid Rock and many others. This prompted Tim Smith to get active in the music industry again. For the last 3 years, Tim Smith has been actively compiling songs and adding songwriters to the Motivation Plus Publishing team.
