Monica Vazquez Bio

Monica Vazquez is a latin singer-composer born in Spain. Monica now lives in Dublin- Ireland- where she formed her own latin band "Salsa Brava" in honour of Tito Puente and Salsa Brava. She is a member of ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers). Monica sings in the top Theatres and Clubs all over Ireland: The Gaiety Theatre www.gaietytheatre.com , The Sugar Club www.thesugarclub.com, and has a sizzling set of latin classics of her own arrangement and many originals. Monica and Salsa Brava tour all over Ireland and UK. They have earned a reputation as a " Top Class Act". Monica has been introduced in Cuba, Havana, by famous latin jazz composer and singer Bobby Carcasses. She was singing in La Casa de la Musica, Havana, Cuba, and Bobby Carcasses wrote one of Monica's songs Africana~Espanola, that now she includes it in her album. Monica has also performed in Miami, "Torero", with great success, she was promoted and sponsor by Monica Puig, President of "The Latin Club of America", www.latinbiz.net and was invited to a private party in "Bacardi Building", Bayside Boulevard, Miami, which was held in honour of the Lord Major of Miami, Sr. Alex Penelas. Monica also took part in The Florida Music Festival, Orlando,2006, winning a Gibson Les Paul Classic Guitar. Monica Vazquez appeared on TV/Radio: Spain: Luar, Onda Cero, Ireland: Gay Byrne Show, Gerry Ryan Show, New Years Eve Show, UK: UTV, Havana, Cuba: Radio el Progreso, Miami: Tele Miami "Encuentros con Miriam Peiro". She has performed privately for: Bono singer of U2, Prime Minister of Ireland, Berty Ahern, Miami Chamber of Commerce, Neil Armstrong, Mexico Embassy in Ireland. Monica has appeared in lots of festivals sponsored by Bacardi, Budwiser, Heineken, Guiness, etc...She is also involved in numerous charities. Monica Vazquez and Salsa Brava were a big hit at "The Taste of Dublin Festival 07". In October Monica was on Spanish TV and she was performing with her band Salsa Brava in La Coruna, Galicia, Spain.
