Mind Shelter's music is described as "electronico - new modern rock". That may be the best way to describe their sound, but to narrow it down to one genre would be minimizing the band's appeal, since their sound is derived from so many different influences and styles. Mind Shelter formed in November 2001 has an international line-up with broad musical tastes and styles. Bart (Netherlands) - Vocals, Jonathan (Netherlands) - Guitar, Lexander (Colombia) - Guitar-programming, Fernando (Venezuela) - Drums-programming. The band is currently on hiatus, after recently supporting Helmet on their European tour, but is in the studio recording their first full-length album, as well as in production for a new video. Mind Shelter’s music is also featured in the new independent film, “Smokers and Non-Believers” by Max Dali.

Biography:
Mind Shelter formed in November 2001 has an international line-up with broad musical tastes and styles. Bart (Netherlands) - Vocals, Jonathan (Netherlands) - Guitar, Lexander (Colombia) - Guitar-sequencing-programming, Fernando (Venezuela) - Drums-sequencing-programming. The band was formed when drummer, Fernando, arrived in Holland and rejoined "Mystical Darkness" (an old project that Fernando, Sebastian and Lexander started, in 1996, in Venezuela). They began experimenting and changing their old style into what the new band, Mind Shelter, would become. Bassist, Bart (ex-Deft Act) and Vocalist, Bart (ex-SynerG) completed the circle in the beginning of 2003. By February, 2004 bassist Bart is replaced by Sebastian on the bass, retaining only one guitar player in the band. Guitarist, Jonathan joined the band to become the second guitar player. Mind Shelter's music is described as "electronic - metal". That may be the best way to describe their sound, but to narrow it down to one genre would be minimizing the band's appeal, since their sound is derived from so many different influences and styles. Their first EP, "Manipulated Living" was recorded between April and July in 2003. It covers a broad variety of emotions and electronic atmospheres as well as psychedelic grooves, flowing guitars and industrial-driven beats, creating a gloriously-empowered musical experience. In September 2004, the band retained, Jim Davis, of Jam Talent USA, as their official manager who is handling negotiations with several record labels. Further information can be found on their website, www.Mind-Shelter.com. Mind Shelter is currently seeking a multi-city tour in a support capacity. Inquiries should be directed to Jim Davis at Jam Talent USA @ (206)203-3361, (618)201-4454 Mobile or management@mind-shelter.com. The band is currently on hiatus, after recently supporting Helmet on their European tour, but is in the studio recording their first full-length album, as well as in production for a new video, supporting their latest single, for MTV , the Box and Fuse. Mind Shelter’s music is also featured in the new independent film, “Smokers and Non-Believers” by Max Dali.
