Michelle De's songwriting career started in the most interesting way - based on a dare. International artist, Ace Reign heard one of her poems and was taken aback by its visual elements. What Michelle De considered to be innocent outlets, Ace heard powerful assonance of melodies and encouraged Michelle De to convert her poetic expressions into music. Michelle De refused Ace's encouragement, at some point gave in and composed her first single, Every Time I Weep. It was not until Nashville Song Service (NSS) reviewed her lyrics, Don't Know How To Love that her career started to take off.

For awhile, she refused, expressing that she is not a music artist, but a woman who enjoys privately composing her thoughts just to pass time or to vent about some form of injustice that she had seen or experienced firsthand. Yet, Ace Reign was determined to convince Michelle De to write at least one song. To put an end to Ace's persistence, she finally gave in and composed her first single, Every Time I Weep. Surprised by the results, she wrote three other singles - Thank God I'm Me (Hip Hop/Rap), Don't Know How To Love (R&B) and Lost (R&B). Michelle De was astounded and pleased with the results.

She eventually wrote and produced a commercial extended Hip Hop / Rap /R&B version of her single, Love Conspiracy. This track gained her a great deal of attention in both the U.S. and U.K. markets. It was at this point that she begun to take her writing career more serious. However, it was not until Nashville Song Service (NSS) reviewed her lyrics, Don't Know How To Love that her career started to take off. NSS and Michelle De partnered to record her track. Together they created a beautiful country / pop recording featuring Holly Simms (http://soundcloud.com/kambymanagement/dont-know-how-to-love). The feedback Michelle De received has been tremendous. After the successful collaboration, NSS and Michelle De are partnering again to record her next single, Patience.
Michelle De just completed writing a new single entitled, Fight For Me. She is currently working on the following projects - Words Hurt, Let It Go, My Feelings, Torn, and Unselfish Love (genres are still to be determined).

The extended version of Love Conspiracy can be purchased on iTunes, Amazon MP3, CD Baby, Emusic, Myspace Music, Rhapsody, Zune and other digital outlets. Don't Know How To Love will be available to purchase on December 1, 2011.

Michelle De's musical influences are Mary J. Blige, Miranda Lambert, Queen Latifah, Miguel, Frank Ocean, Jennifer Hudson and Missy Elliott.
