I'm an only child, Seattle born and raised. I'm proud to say I studied guitar under the great Kevin Callahan for 11 years. My style is in the vain of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jeff Beck, and Larry Carlton. However I love the old rhythm guitar styles from the 60's and 70s'.

I'm very proficient in the studio when it comes to recording, writing and producing. I write beats and sell them ON THE INTERNENT. I am looking for management and I'm very open to collaborating in all styles.

Max Watters From Seattle

When any music fan thinks about Seattle, only good things come to mind. This is the same city that gave you iconic legends such as Jimi Hendrix, Nirvana and Pearl Jam. The same town that keeps breeding new talented artist with a unique approach, including recent cult bands such as Minus The Bear or newglobal sensations like Band Of Horses.

With such credentials, it is not surprising to keep hearing of great talents coming out of this fertile artistic and cultural ground - and this is definitely the case of 21 year old local Max Watters, a young and brilliant musician with a truly unique and eclectic approach. Watters strives to deliver the most organic and warm feel with his guitar licks, as well as the most modern and tight club beats, experimenting with computer music and EDM.

Our day and age puts an unbelievable range of tools, instruments and forms of expression at the service of creative performers and songwriters like Watters, who fully takes advantages of this versatility, refusing to lock himself into a box and experimenting with a variety of genres. While many guitarists maintain a stubbornly purist point of view, Watters is bold enough to embrace the new, expanding his technique with new sounds and musical formats, pushing the boundaries of his skills and of the genres he explores.

With his passionate, experienced and mature take on blues, rock, funk, reggae and pop, Watters is considered to be one of the top guitarists hailing from the west coast - although his skills are not only limited to the instrument: Watters has developed a fondness for music as diverse as hip hop and EDM (Electronic Dance Music), composing and producing many tracks within these genres.

Max Watters has collaborated with a number of artists, including Canadian based Jutes (this particular collaboration led to an explosive single, "Fresh Air") - but the guitarist and composer is also known for his work with hip-hop super-group Faded Theory, as well as for his participation in Positive Rising and dance oriented project Hella Weirdo.

It is certainly interesting to see what happens within a group setting, when the final direction of a project depends on the creative collision of individuals with different backgrounds, ideas and sensibility. Any project that benefits of Max's involvement has got something different to offer, demonstrating an artist that is able to work well in a team without overshadowing the other group members like many solo guitarists and composers do, failing to understand the importance of group dynamics. This is a musician able to let his vision stand out, well in harmony within a band setting as well as in a solo setting.
